When was the last time i shot on a beach at 2 o'clock in the afternoon? There's something wholly simplistic in this photo. What I like best about it is the strong colors. I used a polarizer to eliminate the wet glare on the rock from the sun which also helped keep the colors vivid. Then I handheld my graduated filter to the lens to stop out some more light giving the sky a nice balanced blue and allowed me to lengthen my shutter speed enough to freeze the waves as they came in around the rock (and me).
