Rural San Luis Obispo / Slo County / Calif / Central Coast
I was driving on the 101 and came over the hill near Avila and saw the cloud cover over the Slo area. Knew I had to stop... so I did of course. Went to a nearby spot and was lucky enough to get a few nice shots.
The shot is so "dark" and grim. The tall grass is the perfect contrast element for a sky like this. At first glance it might appear an HDR shot but it's not... cause I don't really do HDR. Single image. No blending. Processing was some minor tone adjustments in highlights and shadow and some minor DE-saturation. Very precise adjustments all around to keep the mood. Always keepin it natural. Thanks for looking.
