Coon Creek Beach / Montana de Oro / Central Coast of California
A cloudy day, with moments of light rain, venturing among one of my favorite places on this earth. The distant cave opens up to at least 30 feet in height and is featured elsewhere in my Montana de Oro Gallery.
This is a three picture merge in Cs3 and tonemapped in Photomatix- not an HDR. I went with a very slight off monochrome blue hue to this picture. Just felt sort of right with the mood of the day. ______________________________________________
I like the unreality created by the lack of saturation is very artistic, and it gives it a sci-fi edge, as if you were crossing into the spirit realm.I can see this as a cover for a book, as it is very crisp and beautiful, but it has an ominous edge to it. The cave gives an almost mysterious look. The clouds are captured perfectly and they look like a blanket covering the sky. The rope almost looks like something was caught, only to be lost again. This is a truly beautiful piece. This artist is very talented and I would love to see more of their work.
